Country star, Luke Bryan, will be making his Charlottesville debut at the Jefferson Theater on September 14 as part of his cross-country tour. Bryan’s current single “Rain is a Good Thing” is number one on the Country charts this week, which is helping him to become a country music powerhouse. In addition to headlining his own shows, he recently toured with Kenny Chesney, Dierks Bentley and Trace Adkins.

Originally from Georgia, Bryan began his singing career at a young age and has experienced a meteoric rise to fame since the release of his debut album in 2007 titled "I’ll Stay Me." Bryan unapologetically shared his own brand of traditional country music with an ever-growing legion of fans. The album's second single, "We Rode in Trucks", peaked in the Top 40 in early 2008. A third single, "Country Man", was released in February 2008 and became his second Top 10 hit.

In March of 2009, Luke released his second album, “Doin’ My Thing”, which is experiencing huge success. His first single off the album, “Do I” reached #1 on the Billboard Country Charts followed by “Rain is a Good Thing” hitting #1 on the singles charts this week.

In addition to enjoying the tremendous success of his current album, Luke was recently named the Academy of Country Music’s Top New Artist and Top New Solo Vocalist, both fan-voted. He also won a CMT trophy for the fan-voted “USA Weekend Breakthrough Video of The Year” for the video for “Do I.” Bryan is currently nominated for both the “Male Country Artist” and “Best Country Album” at the Teen Choice awards set for August
